2pastors

Our goal is to equip pastors in a given country in sound doctrine, godly character and ministry skills over a three year period so that they, in turn, may teach others (2 Timothy 2:2) in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20). Conferences led by North American pastors are held two or three times per year. As time goes on, the national pastors will become the primary teachers at the conferences. Mentor groups meet weekly and are led by the national pastors to train, encourage and multiply the ministries of every pastor involved. It is our prayer that at the end of the three year period a nationally lead and sustained church leadership training and sending center will be established. We will have “worked ourselves out of a job” so we can go on to another location that has great need to equip national pastors!

Action Coalition is a part of Action International Ministries (ACTION), a global mission agency committed to sending multi-national missionaries who treasure Jesus Christ and minister His Gospel in word and deed, primarily to the poor.  The mission currently has over 250 missionaries in 25 countries.

ACTION COALITION CREED

All members of the ACTION COALITION have committed and subscribe to the following Creed:

SOLA SCRIPTURA: The Holy Scriptures are the Standard of Faith & Practice (2 Tim. 3:14-17).

We affirm the inerrant Scripture to be the sole source of written divine revelation, which alone can bind the conscience. The Bible alone teaches all that is necessary for our salvation from sin and is the standard by which all Christian behavior must be measured.

SOLA CHRISTUS:  Jesus Christ is the Mediator of Reconciliation between God and Man. (John 14:6; 1 Tim. 2:5-6)

We affirm that our salvation is accomplished by the mediatorial work of the historical Christ alone. His sinless life and substitutionary atonement alone are sufficient for our justification and reconciliation to the Father.

SOLA GRATIA: Eternal Salvation is a work of God’s Grace alone (Ephesians 1:3-8, 2:8-9).

We affirm that in salvation we are rescued from God’s wrath by His grace alone. It is the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit that brings us to Christ by releasing us from our bondage to sin and raising us from spiritual death to spiritual life.

SOLA FIDE: Faith is the means by which Justification is imputed (Galatians 3:6-11)

We affirm that justification is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. In justification Christ’s righteousness is imputed to us as the only possible satisfaction of God’s perfect justice.

SOLA DEO GLORI: Man’s chief end is to Glorify God and to enjoy Him forever (Romans 11:36)

We affirm that because salvation is of God and has been accomplished by God, it is for God’s glory we must glorify Him always. We must live our entire lives before the face of God, under the authority of God and for His glory alone.

DOCTRINAL PHILOSOPHY

ACTION International sees the necessity of maintaining the purity of the Church in doctrine and life according to the Word of God.  While we recognize the above Creed as essential for spiritual unity, we also recognize that there are non-essential doctrinal distinctives that have the tendency to divide the body of Christ.  With this in mind, each Coalition member must be willing to subscribe to the following doctrinal philosophy: (1) In essentials…UNITY; (2) in non-essentials…GRACIOUSNESS; (3) In doubtful things…WISDOM; and (4) In all things …LOVE.  As each of us serves Christ in the Coalition, we must set the example Paul addresses in 2 Timothy 2:22-25:

(1)    To live pure and holy lives in service to our Master.

(2)    To teach in the wisdom of God, refusing to engage in and entertaining foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels.

(3)    To be kind and patient, even when wronged.

To teach with gentleness, correcting those who are in opposition to the essentials of the Word, praying that God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth.
